Like the Olympics – without the steroid scandals

From November 15 to 18, 2007, teams from 63 countries will be in Shizuoka, Japan to compete for gold, silver and bronze in the 39th WorldSkills Competition. These truly skill-based “Olympics” take place every two years, hosted by WorldSkills, the worldwide organization established some 50 years ago. Organizers estimate there will be over 3400 competitors, ranging from florists to polymechanics. You can find out all the details at http://www.skillsfestival2007.or.jp/en/.

Okay, so we can’t truly promise that there will be no scandals but we’re betting against it.
